I am new to tractor buying. I have narrowed my search to a Kubota B21 with Fel and Backhoe. Anyone have any experience with this model? Any helpful information? I am in the process of getting quotes on new and used machines. The prices I have received to date blew me away. Any suggestion as to where I can go for a reasonable price?

The B21 is a fantastic machine. Its brother is the B35. Both of these machines are the commercial machine class. They have stronger frames, fixed canopy, and also a KEEP OB ALL THE TIME Loader. The Backhoe is the best kind, that is it is not a 3point hitch type, so it si easy on easy off and much safer. Carver, our sponsor, has fair prices, check him out, but be sure you want a stationary Loader, many don't. Generally expect over 21k for a B21 TLB ....

The B21 TBL is super tractor and second to none in it's size range. You may pay more for a B21 TBL but in the long run it will more than pay for it self. Especially if you plan to do a lot of work with the backhoe, it has no match when compared to any of the PTO units out there. It will out dig any of them and you can remove/install the backhoe in less than 10 minutes, you can't do that with a PTO unit. The loader is also a very heavy duty unit when compared to other tractors in this size class as well as the rest of the tractor. I have amazed quite a few people with the amount of dirt this little tractor can move. Kubota sells it as a commercial unit and that's just what it is. If it has a weak spot it's a PTO at 13.5 HP, but if you keep the implements sized right you should not have any problems. I have personally run a 48" rotary-cutter and a 150 gal. sprayer on mine. I'm now looking for a 48" tiller. Any way you look at it, if you need a compact tractor to move a lot of dirt this is it. ....
